Testimonials

Carol  - Over the years, you have diligently helped me to correct my slumping posture by very innovative instructions, prop use and by gently pressing my sternum or touching my thoracic spine to encourage extension through my mid back. Your classes are always unique and inspiring.  I leave enriched.

Gloria  - The yoga experience with Ms. Parkinson has allowed me to achieve a balance and increase of strength overall which then transforms into my triathlete training. She is able to adapt the yoga poses suitably for a person’s body type and can assist them to work through an injury, and understand how to improve their well-being. This yoga course keeps me fit so that I can continue my training.

Roy,  - Your teaching style has always been methodical, systematic and succinct making it easy for us students to follow and receive the intended results immensely. Your instructions are step by step, first working on the larger muscles and the essential parts of the body, eventually arriving at the final pose. This is brilliant! I find this sequencing help me to focus each step of the way and reaching the ultimate pose without too much struggling and avoiding injury. Your dedication to teaching students is unequivocal.

IYENGAR INSPIRATION

Yoga Sutra II:47 states that "Perfection in asana is acheived when the effort to perform it becomes effortless and the infinite being within is released"

Guruji ( Mr.Iyengar) says "When I am in an asana, I go beyond the chronological and psychological boundary of time".

Iyengar yoga emphasises the aspect of staying in a pose to not only build the stamina and confidence of the student, but to be able to go into the deeper layers of it's effects, developing the circulation of energy in the body
